
The
Department of Linguistics at the University of Hong Kong
is pleased to announce the organization of an international
symposium on the topic of “Bilingualism: Linguistic,
Psycholinguistic and Sociolinguistic Perspectives”
on June 18, 2005. The aim of this symposium is to bring
together a group of distinguished scholars in the fields
of linguistics, psycholinguistics, and sociolinguistics
and to provide a forum for them to report their latest research
findings and exchange views on theoretical and methodological
issues relating to the study of bilingualism, with particular
reference to Chinese and English. The number of speakers
is strictly limited in order to ensure full opportunities
for presentation and interaction. The following distinguished
