This is the first book on a proficiency course of China's biggest minority language in English. It is the outcome of a project whose aim was to collect authentic material through linguistic fieldwork for analysing, documenting, and revitalizing this largely understudied language of 20 million speakers in southwestern China and elsewhere. It comes with a DVD containing photo-, audio-, and video-documentation of some important linguistic and cultural activities of rural Zhuang people.
