A Dagaare - Cantonese - English Lexicographical Resource by Adams Bodomo The concept of language resource has gained an increased importance in the recent literature of many areas of linguistics and information science such as computational and corpus linguistics, typological studies, and cognitive science. As a result, associations such as the European language resource association, and various lexical consortia have been formed. The objective of this project is to compile a concise on-line dictionary or lexical resource base of the basic vocabulary items in Dagaare with Cantonese and English equivalents. (A list of about 200 Dagaare verbs with Cantonese and English equivalents is already available form an earlier project.) Such an on-line dictionary can serve as a useful resource for theoretical linguists in their comparison of various lexical and grammatical phenomena between these three different languages of Africa, Asia, and Europe. In the future, they could also serve as a useful base for publishing practical handbooks and dictionaries involving these languages. ¡@ A Guide to Lexical Semantic and Lexicographic Resources on the Internet: 1.
